The Voice

This week team 5 have been learning our words for the Voice which was placed on every Friday, and today was the day to do the voice. My hands were sweating and I had butterflies in my tummy and I was ready to start the voice. "Beeeppp, Beepp" The speaker beeped with excitement  and everyone's face was seriously focused, I was afraid that I will get something wrong and so I said to my self "of course I will", because I did not study that much during this week. So I took a beep breath and continued on with my test so on during the test, the test was over and I finally pressed submit.

Here is a link to the voice that Team 5 had to do! Hope you enjoy.https://sites.google.com/a/ptengland.school.nz/2015team5/

Immersion Assembly.

On the 20th of July Pt England School had an Immersion Assembly on the first day off school. In the Immersion Assembly Mr Burt was Trading and Enterprise$e . Early in the morning Mrs Nua and also the prefects were handing out mini cards with numbers on it so that when you want what is about to be sold you must put up your card at every single price. From team 5 Shelford was the one that won my favorite thing and that was a basketball the reason why I did not win it was because I did not have a number card.

During assemble I really enjoyed my-self and I was also happy the the teams production during the assembly. My favorite team had got to be Team 3 because they were studying about Ice-Cream , The most important reason why I love that team is because they will be making the Ice-Cream during school time.

Historic Mansion

mansion
Historic Mansion!

In the 1860’s, Samuel Ouerbacker built this Historic Mansion in Kentucky,But there’s more things you may need to find out. For a $1 historic mansion may sound unbelievable but there is a chance that it may be haunted, It’s a catch.

The mansion isn’t really in the greatest condition. As the mansion stands, some parts fall apart. The background of the histrionic is that it stands across from a cemetery. The hope is that it would be bought by someone that is willing to put the time and also the money into restoring the mansion.

Nearby Residents dare to say the the mansion is haunted, it does look creepy!. The mansion was used by a tax company but later on it went up for auction. Despite his plan to restore the mansion to it’s former glory, but he left the mansion in ruins.

Future Aspirations

On the 20th of May Pt England School Team 5 got to see important and also famous visitors, And those visitors are Marcus Winter (AKA) The Sandman, Louis Gordon Latty (AKA) Basketball player & also the introducer Andrew Patterson. Marcus Winter works his Magic, using sand, light and also sound to produce a live performing in huge crew ship and to also preform in our town city Queens ST.

Louis Gorden Latty is a famous internet man which entertains others online. Louis has a great imagination, for the reason that he wants to be a famous basketball player just like Micheal Jordan. Louis Gorden Latty gave out a lot off quotes which was Aim high, People will never forget how you made them feel, and also how you made them smile.

The most interesting thing that stood out for me was that quote that Marcus gave us and that quote was  (keep doing what makes you awesome). The reason why I like this quote is because when you need to show you're awesome'st you need to stand out to people and believe in what you dream even though it is not impossible.

Wood Chisel:
A wood chisel is a tool with a characteristically shaped cutting edge, such that wood chisels have lent part of their name to a particular grind, Of blade on it’s end, for carving or cutting a hard material such as wood, stone, or metal by hand, struck with a mallet.

Bench Hook
A bench hook is a workbench accessory used in woodworking. The purpose of the bench hook is to provide a stop which a piece of wood being worked can be placed against to hold it steady whilst cutting, planing, or chiseling that piece of wood.

Mallet:

Wooden mallet, usually used in carpentry to knock wooden pieces together, or to drive dowels or chisels. A wooden mallet will not deform the striking end of a metal tool, as most metal hammers would, and it also reduces the force required to drive the cutting edge of a chisel
